Nationalism versus Regionalism Rather than utilise the term nationalism as I have done above, political and uniﬁcation aspirations of minoritised communities are often subsumed under the term ‘regionalism’. Whilst not wanting to open a protracted debate into the subject, I would point out that the application of such terminology largely depends on whose perspective one is employing. , 2002: 77).
